Nyasaन्यास
The ritual placing of mantra or deity onto parts of the body. Documented as embodied ritual, described here as context rather than procedure.

परिभाषा
Literally "placing" or "depositing". In ritual it denotes assigning mantras, syllables or deities to specific points of the body, usually with touch and with a stated formula.
संदर्भ
पारंपरिक व्याख्याNyasa treats the body as the site of practice rather than an obstacle to it. Its documented purpose is to prepare the practitioner as a fit vessel before the main rite, and it appears across a wide range of Tantric and puranic ritual manuals.
The specific sequences are lineage-bound and are transmitted with initiation. What follows in this section is descriptive: what the practice is understood to be, not how to perform it.
